Joining the SOUE
Graduates and students of the Department of Engineering Science, and current or past Departmental teaching and research staff, are now automatically members of the Society (associate members in the case of students), and therefore should no longer need to apply for membership. However, in the case of such members who had not previously joined the Society, the extra information requested in the membership application will assist in checking your membership, so for the time being please continue to use the application process when making initial contact.
You may apply for membership of the SOUE online; if you prefer, you may printing a form and enter your details on it, then post it to the Membership Secretary at the address given on the form.
Full Membership
Full membership is available to those who have gained an engineering degree (undergraduate or postgraduate) from the University of Oxford, and to current and past Departmental teaching and research staff. Additionally, graduates with non-engineering Oxford degrees who are now closely associated with engineering may also join the Society, at the committee's discretion.
Associate Membership
Associate membership is available to those who are currently studying for an engineering degree at the University of Oxford; this converts to full life membership upon graduation.
