2004 Annual Meeting (Saturday 23 October 2004)

The 2004 meeting was held on the morning of Saturday 23 October; the format was similar to the previous year, but with an earlier start and two talks by 1999 St Catherine's graduates on their experiences since graduation.

The event started with coffee in the Thom Building, followed by a welcome from Professor Richard Darton, the Head of Department, and continued with the following talks:

• Claire Edwards (née Lewis) : Developing the Engineer
• Gemma Long : The Law of Invention

The Society's AGM (including the Head of Department's annual report) was then held, followed by a break for coffee before:

• The Seventeenth Jenkin Lecture
  Dr David Kenning : Bubbles

The day's events concluded with a buffet lunch in St Anne's College.
