2003 Annual Meeting (Saturday 18 October 2003)
The 2003 meeting was held on the morning of Saturday 18 October, with a lecture at noon, followed by lunch; this was an experimental change from the format of previous years (a Friday evening lecture followed by dinner).
The event started with coffee in the Thom Building, followed by a welcome from Professor Guy Houlsby on behalf of the Head of Department, which led directly into the Annual General Meeting (including the Head of Department's annual report). This was followed at noon by:
- The Sixteenth Jenkin Lecture
Paul Martins : Oil Production: from Nitroglycerine to Fibre-optics
The day's events concluded with a buffet lunch in St Anne's College.
